Partner with Berkeley Carnival Revolution

Help us make Carnival possible.

Carnival is more than what happens on the road.
It is the months of designing, building, creating, teaching, gathering and preparing that happen long before the music starts.
At Berkeley Carnival Revolution, we bring together creativity, culture, community and the spirit of Traditional Mas to create an experience that is imaginative, accessible and rooted in connection.
Your partnership helps make that experience possible.
Whether you are a small business, cultural institution, individual supporter or organization looking for a meaningful way to participate, there is a place for you at BCR.

More than a Carnival Band

Berkeley Carnival Revolution is a creative community built around Mas.
Our work extends beyond Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Throughout the season, BCR creates opportunities for people to learn, make, collaborate and experience culture through workshops, creative programming, community engagement and the making of Mas.
We believe Carnival can be a space for creativity, cultural expression, connection and participation.
We also believe it should be accessible.
That means finding ways to make participation possible while meeting the very real costs of bringing a band to the road — from materials and transportation to music, refreshments, safety and operations.
When you support BCR, you are helping us build more than costumes. You are helping us build an experience.

What Your Support Makes Possible

There is a lot that happens behind the scenes before BCR reaches the road.
Your sponsorship helps us cover the practical costs of creating and delivering Carnival, including:

Making Mas
Materials, adhesives, consumables and the supplies needed to design and build costumes and creative pieces.

Keeping Our Community Going
Water, beverages, food, snacks and refreshments for our makers, volunteers and masqueraders during production and Carnival.

Getting Mas to the Road
Transportation, including the movement of costume pieces, tools, repair supplies and other production necessities

Keeping the Band Moving
Music, the music truck and other essential Carnival logistics.

Keeping People Safe
Security, medical support and other operational needs during the Carnival season.

Keeping Carnival Accessible
Support that helps us manage the costs of participation and create a more affordable and accessible Carnival experience.

Keeping BCR Running
The many behind-the-scenes operational costs that make it possible to produce, organize and deliver the BCR experience.

Every contribution helps turn months of creative work into Carnival on the road.
